Money Matters Monitoring Desk – April 15, 2025 – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced plans to establish Pakistan’s first Artificial Intelligence (AI) University in Lahore. Speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2025 in Turkey, she emphasized her government’s commitment to teaching AI and advanced technologies to students, particularly girls.

The Chief Minister also highlighted other educational improvements in Punjab, including upgrading over 4,000 primary schools with better facilities and introducing “digital learning rooms” with touchscreens in 6,000 schools.

She stated that this initiative will revolutionize education in Pakistan, equipping students with essential skills for the future in a technology-driven world. “The promotion of AI-based education is changing the landscape of learning. With the establishment of Pakistan’s first AI university in Lahore, we are preparing our youth for a smarter, technology-driven future,” she said.
