New suite aims to empower Pakistani SMEs with streamlined global shipping and enhanced competitiveness

Key Takeaways:
1. Alibaba.com has launched online logistics services tailored for Pakistani exporters, targeting SMEs.
2. The service offers integrated solutions for packaging, warehousing, delivery, order tracking, and customs advisory.
3. The initiative aims to help Pakistani businesses overcome logistics challenges and boost their competitiveness in global markets.

Money Matters Monitoring – In a significant move for Pakistan’s export sector, Alibaba.com has unveiled a comprehensive suite of online logistics services designed to assist Pakistani exporters in optimizing their international trade processes. The initiative, announced on Friday, is set to provide vital tools and solutions to help local businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), tap into expanding global markets.
The new logistics services, developed in partnership with leading international express delivery companies, will enable Pakistani exporters to overcome traditional barriers in international trade. With the explosive growth of cross-border e-commerce, Pakistani SMEs are being presented with unprecedented opportunities to participate in global trade, but often face hurdles in optimising their export processes.

Addressing Export Challenges
Logistics has long been identified as a major obstacle for Pakistani exporters. Businesses frequently encounter issues related to shipping, timely deliveries, and minimising costs and risks. Alibaba.com’s new offering aims to address these pain points by providing a seamless, integrated logistics process—from packaging and warehousing to delivery.
The platform will support fast and reliable international shipping to over 200 countries and regions, ensuring goods are transported safely and on schedule. Pakistani exporters will also benefit from detailed order tracking tools and customs advisory services, helping them manage shipments more efficiently and reduce potential risks.

Empowering SMEs for Global Success
Speaking at the launch, Ms Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain at Alibaba.com, emphasised the importance of online logistics services for SMEs. “Online logistics services streamline operations, reduce costs, and empower businesses to reach global markets easily,” she said. “By leveraging advanced technologies and comprehensive solutions, Alibaba.com helps Pakistani SMEs enhance their competitiveness, ensure timely deliveries, and respond swiftly to market demands.”
The new logistics suite is expected to play a crucial role in helping Pakistani export businesses optimise costs, minimise risks, and enhance their global market presence.
